Parliament starts today

Tuvalu Parliament's last session for the current parliamentarians starts today on Funafuti. It will be the last session before the nation's general elections in August this year.

The last session for current member to parliament started this morning at the Vaiaku Falekaupule.
President of the Ekalesia Kelisiano Tuvalu Reverend Tofiga Falani offered a word of prayer to start the session. Tuvalu news understatnds that all members of Parliament are present now in the Falekaupule except for Minister of Natural Resources Hon. Samuelu PTeo, who is in Fiji.
He had forwarded an apology that he would not be here for the start of the session but will join the House when the plane arrives today from Fiji.
The session will last for five days.
