ROC NEW AMBASSADOR TO TUVALU
The new Ambassador of the Republic of China on Taiwan to Tuvalu His Excellency Dr. Daniel T.C Liao, is in the country replacing the former Ambassador Dr. Feng Tai who left Tuvalu in September this year.
His Excellency greets the country as a whole and said that in the few weeks that he had been here for, he has fallen in love with Tuvalu and would like all Tuvaluans to see that.
He told Tuvalu news that the main goal as Ambassador of Taiwan is to keep the good cooperated and friendly relationship between the government and the people of Tuvalu and the government and the people of Taiwan going and make it better.
He stated that there are projects going on now like the mobile medical mission which was warmly welcomed as well as joint ventures between Tuvalu and Taiwan which he likes to see go on and develop further.
He comes to Tuvalu after serving his government for more than 25 years as Ambassador and Embassy official in Los Angeles in the USA, South Mexico and Dominica in West Indies.
Dr Liao’s expected to be here for a term of three years- and his family consisting of his spouse and three daughters are all living in Los Angeles in the United States, where he spent more than 10 years working.
