Women of Funafuti
Women of Funafuti organized a special feast on Thursday morning in honor of the Island Pastor who went to Funafala islet on Wednesday morning.
The Pastor, Reverend Fuiono Piita paid his last visit to the islet on Wednesday morning where he conducted the church service on the island.
He was accompanied by the Head deacon of the Funafuti congregation.
Report adds, on his return yesterday morning from Funafala islet ? he was warmly welcomed by women of the island with flower garlands and refreshments.
Report further adds, this was organized by the women as their last token of appreciation to the island pastor who has completed his four year term with the Funafuti congregation.
He was then escorted by the women to his home of residence with an “alofa” presented by the women.
The women ended their program yesterday morning with a joyride around the main settlement.
