Health inspector inspects goods in stores

By Diana Semi

Workers of the Health Inspection Department within the Princess Margaret Hospital are carrying out the inspection of all goods in all stores and shops on the capital.

They commenced their work this morning.

According to chief Health Inspector Mrs. Falealili Feagai ? the inspection of goods in all shops should be carried out on a daily basis but the department has insufficient time to do it due to other commitments.

She says during the inspection, they check for expiry dates of all goods and expired goods will be destroyed immediately.

This is routine work for the department to ensure all food is safe for the good health of our people.

The Health Department is trying to complete the inspection of all outlets before the end of the year.
