Marie Claire magazine in the country

Global warming and island scenery have attracted a team of professionals from the world famous Marie Claire magazine to the country for a few days to shoot pictures.

The Deputy Editor of Marie Claire, Japanese Edition- Mayumi Toura told Tuvalu news that she had been looking for an island that best depicts global warming, and her research found Tuvalu.

Ms Toura stated that she aims to introduce Tuvalu to Japan and its people through the news articles and fashion pictures they will publish after getting back to Japan.

Ms Toura said she is really happy with the pictures that were taken around the island in the last couple of days.

The team which included a professional model, her stylist, make-up artist, hair stylist, photographer, his assistant and a journalist left the country today, and their trip was coordinated by Non-Governmental Organisation Tuvalu-Overview.
