Matagi masani from Nukufetau to raise funds

More fundraising activities will be held throughout this week by the touring team from Nukufetau Island namely Matagi Masani which arrived at the capital last week.
In an interview with a reliable member of the touring team this morning ? she says, the purpose of their tour was to raise funds as part of their preparations for the Ekalesia Kelisiano General Assembly in 2008.
The team consists of more than twenty women from the village side of Te Maneapa on Nukufetau Island, and this is their first time to come to the capital for this purpose.
The team was treated to breakfast on Saturday morning by members of the island community on the capital at the Talimalie Falekaupule and for dinner in the evening as well.
After dinner, the team presented their alofa to the island community which consisted of local food items they brought from their island.
Members of the village side of Te Maneapa residing on the capital also presented their alofa to the team which consists of food items from the store to help the team while they are here.
