Taiwan alumni to be set up

By Silafaga Lalua

The Taiwan-Tuvalu alumni association is to be set up in the country as around thirty four Tuvaluans have participated and benefited from ICDF’s programs carried out in Taiwan.

This association is made up of Tuvaluans who had participated in the International Cooperation Development Fund ICDF’s human resource development training programs at the tertiary and professional enhancement level in Taiwan in the past years.

The purpose of the Association is to foster and promote links between Tuvalu and the Republic of China on Taiwan and will accomplish this purpose by connecting, informing and servicing its members and friends through active leadership, dynamic programs and effective communications.

Tuvalu news learnt that a meeting has been organized for tomorrow where all members of the alumni association are asked to be present.

At this meeting the chairperson plus all board members will be selected and they will also look at the Association’s draft constitution.

Lunch will be prepared by the ICDF Technical Mission in Tuvalu.
