The Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Sports returned to the country this week after attending a two weeks meeting in Jamaica.
Assistant Secretary, Mr Avafoa Irata told Tuvalu News ? this is the first part of the ministerial meeting, which is the 4th Pan Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning.
Issues focused on the progresses of education through open learning via internet which people can access to, and what was achieved through open learning.
Mr Irata added the second part of the meeting was the Virtual University for Small State of the Commonwealth (VUSSC).
This meeting brought together the Small States of the Commonwealth to discuss on the progress of Open Learning.
Ideas and Experiences were also discussed on what has been learned, done and achieved through open learning.
Mr Irata’s trip was funded under the Commonwealth Forum for Open Learning.
