Tuvalu Athletics Association's collection yesterday

The Tuvalu Athletics Association raised more that 5 hundred dollars in their door-to-door fund raising yesterday.
Vice President of the Association Mr. Nakibae Kitiseni told Tuvalu news that the athletes managed to visit most offices yesterday as well as some residential houses.
According to him that considering the number of athletes who went out to collect donations, the result was very good, and everyone in the Association was very happy with the outcome of the activity.
Tuvalu news gathered that 10 youths joined in the activity yesterday, and 8 of them are being trained at the moment.
Kitiseni wishes to thank the athletes for tirelessly running around the island all day to collect donations but most of all he expresses his appreciation to everybody who responded to the activity and donated when the athletes knocked on their doors yesterday.
Tuvalu news was told that the Association will carry out more activities such this one in the near future, since there is very little time for them to get ready for the Oceania Athletics Championships.
He pleads for everyone’s cooperation and kind donations for the fund raising activities that will follow.
