Tuvalu National Provident Fund conducts workshop

Agents for Tuvalu National Provident Fund TNPF in the Northern Islands are now on the capital for a three day refresher workshop organized by the Fund’s General Manager and his staff.
According to the General Manager Mr Penielu Teo the workshop was officially opened yesterday. The contracts for Mr Tie Maheu and Mrs Sunia Vaguna were renewed for the good performance they had done on Niutao and Nanumea Islands.
Mr Teo added Mr Taeka Taimi of Nanumaga Island is now Nanumaga’s agent, replacing Mr Pasama Tepaula.
In the workshop, the agents are given a briefing on the preparation of loans, collections of provident fund contributions from employers and monitoring of projects in the outer islands.
Mr Teo also said that this is a joint workshop with the Development Bank of Tuvalu as the agents are also delivering the same service for the both banks.
The workshop is funded under the Taiwan Grant for Small and Medium Enterprises.
