ROC Embassy on Funafuti celebrates festive season

Amid this festive week, individual departments turn to celebrate Christmas at their own desired venues.
The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) on Tuvalu is also celebrating with a Christmas and New Year banquet tonight at the Vaiaku Lagi Hotel.
The Ambassador Dr. Daniel Liao and Mrs Liao who are the hosts of the banquet invited local guests to join them in their celebration of this festive season.
His Excellency Dr. Liao and Prime Minister Apisai Ielemia will deliver speeches for the night.
Pupils from Nauti primary school will perform Taiwanese songs while the T-Clan girls will perform dances at the function tonight.
Tuvalu news understands that the hotel will be closed to the general public while the banquet is still in progress. The old bar however will remain open to the public.
