Tuvalu Education officials attend Transformational Leadership Workshop

The School Supervisor and Education Officer in the Department of Education both returned to the country early last week after attending a workshop in Nadi, Fiji.
Maseiga Osema and Teimana Avanitele attended a four days workshop on Transformational Leadership which started on the 4th ? 8th December, 2006.
Mrs Osema told Tuvalu News the Workshop was initiated to give opportunities for leaders to learn and practice listening and speaking skills.
It also talked about gender, sex, and the power of femininity in leadership and most of all to complete the program on capturing the learning and acknowledges individual and collective accomplishments.
The workshop involved Education Officers from the Pacific Region and was made possible through funding assistance from UNDP.
