Tuvalu Nurse Graduands

Three local Health Personnel were amongst the 24 Pacific Participants to graduate with certificates on the Reproductive Health Programme.
They comprised two nurses from the Princess Margaret Hospital Masina Amotai and Makaaga Toematagi, and Nurse Felise Afasene of the Tuvalu Family Health Association.
The three months course which commenced on 25th September 2006 was held at the Fiji School of Medicine in Suva Fiji.
Afasene says the course benefits her a lot where she learned detailed information about Gender Health Issues and especially Health Treaties and agreements which she has heard of but did not understand what they were all about.
For the first time, the programme intake includes Papua New Guinea.
Tuvalu news learnt that the graduation was held on the 6th of this month.
