Year eight results out soon

Tuvalu’s year eight examination results will soon be out according to Permanent Secretary of Education and Sports - Solofa Uota.
Mr Uota told Tuvalu news that teachers from Motufoua Secondary School finished marking the exam papers last week and the department is now awaiting the approval of the Minister for the release of the results.
Apart from year eight exam the teachers also marked the Tuvalu School Certificate exam for form five students of Motufoua School, and they have since left for Vaitupu on the last voyage.
In related news, pre-service scholarships have yet to be selected due to the delay of Augmented Foundation Program AFP results from the University of the South Pacific.
Mr Uota says results for all external examinations should be out by the first week of January 2007.
