Pre-service scholarship results

35 Tuvaluan students have been awarded pre-service scholarships by the government for the year 2007.
Reports from the ministry of sports and education say that of the 125 initial applications, thirty five individuals were successful.
The 35 awardees are Augmented Foundation Programme graduates, approved pre-school and primary school teachers as well as Tuvalu sponsored students who underwent further studies in Australia and New Zealand.
Tuvalu news understands that the awardees will start leaving the country to their respective study destinations very soon.
