Public Service Commission approves new appointments in the public service

The Public Service Commission met last week and in the meeting approved new and also made permanent existing appointments in the public service.

The post of Permanent Secretary was awarded to Kakee Kaitu.

Lono Leneuoti was appointed Assistant Tourism Officer, Simeona Simeona and Tepalalau Nia were appointed permanent Accounts Clerks within the Treasury Department.

In the Princess Margaret Hospital Mamaha Viliamu and Uesepa Michael were made permanent senior staff nurses, while Fenuatapu Esela and Tilesa Tepaula were made permanent staff nurses.

Three permanent orderly positions were awarded to Timesa Avafou, Tutaima Manuao and Painano Tevenei, while ten permanent Assistant Nurses’ positions were awarded to Jeanne Vailahi, Lauefa T Vave, Foulua Hauma, Puaese Willy, Sapeta Peia, Melelita Leauma, Sueina Pelita, Esther F Siaosi, Nuasi Tiputa and Faaoso Faleni.

Haulagi Poke was made the permanent President of the Nanumea Island’s Lands Court.

In the Public Works Division, Vila Kauapa was made Waterman, Atenasi Teuila was made Accounts Clerk, Elekana Tofiga was made Housing Officer, Senetenali Kaloga Driver and Iosefa Manuela was made Mechanic.

Also in the Public Works Division, Satalaka Ligovasa, Talaesea Moulogo and Loisio Samuelu were made Mechanics, Gunter Koepke Water Supply Officer, Taukiei Lesaa the Division’s Electrician and Ampelosa Tehulu was made Deputy Director of PWD.

Uale Telesau and Faletapu Ligovasa were made Civil Workers within the division, Siulai Fiona the Estimator, Charles Leepo was made the Architectural Draughtsman and Uatea Maimoaga was made the Civil Engineer Foreman of the Division.
