Tuvalu Coconut Trade Cooperative TCTC lacks things to sell
By Lina Malaki
Coconut products and coconut stock at the Tuvalu Coconut Trade Cooperative Limited (TCTC) has been insufficient as of late, due to the untimely schedule of the ships to the outer islands.
According to the General Manager, Mr Pasivao Maani, the coconut supplies were not uplifted from the Southern Islands during the previous trip of the MV Manufolau there upon return from Fiji, as well as the coconut supplies from the other islands.
Mr Maani told Tuvalu News TCTC had aimed to get all its coconut supplies before Christmas and New Year as there would be lots of feasting, family gatherings and parties.
Due to the untimely shipping schedules, the insufficient supplies of the coconuts, germinating nuts and coconut products have become disadvantageous on the current sale at the TCTC Office, says Maani.
A lot of people on the capital have paid regular visits to the TCTC, in need of coconuts, germinating nuts and other coconut products.
