Volunteers submission due for Taiwan’s ICDF volunteer programme

4 departments within the government have submitted their requests for volunteers from Taiwan’s International Cooperation Development Fund ICDF’s volunteer programme.
Lin Yen-Jen, ICDF’s representative in Tuvalu told Tuvalu news that submissions were initially due in November last year, but for Tuvalu it was extended until February.
Foreign Affairs Officer Puaolele Manatu explained that submissions were supposed to have been due on Friday January 19th.
She stated that departments had been very slow with their submissions even though ICDF gave us an extra week.
Mr Lin stated that volunteers can come from any industry to assist and to work alongside Tuvaluan civil servants in their offices.
He said that ICDF will find volunteers requested for by each industry or department and in April volunteers will all start to leave Taiwan for their voluntary destinations.
