Yamada in Tuvalu

One of the biggest supporters of Environment was in the country for a few days and traveled all the way from Japan.
Hideo Yamada, President of Yamada Apiculture Center Incorporation told Tuvalu news through his translator Ayako Sakka that he supports environment in China, Mongol and Nepal by encouraging forestation and local development.
Sea level rise has been a concern for the island and MrYamada wanted to see the island for himself because he thinks sea level rise is the biggest environmental problem that now exists.
Tuvalu news gathered that Mr Yamada met with Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers and had also realized that there’s more than the sea level problem that the people of Tuvalu are facing.
Waste management and water shortage also contribute to the environmental problems of the country.
Established in 1948, Yamada Bee farm Incorporation breeds honeybees, purchases raw materials of honeybee related products, and also researches, develops, and manufactures honeybee products.
The company also has in it Mico Inc, Yamada Bee Cosmetics Inc., and Yamada Bee Communications Inc.
Mr Yamada took over the presidency of the company in 1983 from his father Masao Yamada.
He left Tuvalu today on a charter flight.
