By Silafaga Lalua

International Environment Adviser Ian Fry is in the country to facilitate a negotiation training workshop with representatives from government departments and non government agencies.

He is contracted by the World Wide Fund for Nature or WWF to facilitate this workshop.

The three day workshop will focus on building understanding on some of the tricks of negotiation on Environmental issues according to Ian Fry.

Fry will take participants through a set of games and discussions, which will demonstrate how actual negotiations are done.

Insert: It’s trying to build the understanding of some of the tricks of the game of negotiating…negotiate on behalf of that country.

Climate Change officer within the Environment department Pepetua Latasi said, a closing reception will take place on Friday evening at the Vaiaku Lagi Hotel, from 6 to 8 o’clock at night, where a video entitled “Inconvenient truth” will show.

Tuvalu news was told that Mr. Fry had conducted the same workshops in many countries in the region including Fiji, Marshal Islands, Fiji and Cook Islands.

He will remain for another week in the country after the workshop, and his being here is funded by WWF.
