Workshop By the FFA

Consultant in the Maritime Surveillance in the Forum Fisheries Agency FFA based in the Solomon Islands is currently on the capital to conduct the Prosecution and Dockside Boarding workshop.
The workshop commenced on Monday and will last a week.
According to the Director of Fisheries, Samasoni Finekaso, Mr Lamiller Pawut of the FFA conducts the workshop and is assisted by Fisheries Officers.
The workshop is jointly organized by the Tuvalu Fisheries Department and the Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
Mr Finekaso said, The workshop targets national officials and is designed to enhance investigative skills and provide a firm understanding of the international, regional, sub-regional and national treaties, agreements and national legislation under which they operate.
Participants to the workshop will be representatives of the Fisheries Department, Police Department ? Tuvalu Patrol boat , Attorney General’s Office, Immigration, Customs, Health Department, Quarantine and non-governmental organizations.
