Deeds from words spoken much needed

Deeds from what was transpired during the meeting is what Prime Minister Apisai Ielemia would like to see in the near future, as stated in his speech at a cocktail party last night.
The one-day Tuvalu 2007 Kakeega II Round Table Meeting held yesterday, as well as the launch of the Millenium Development Goals MDG Tuvalu Report the day before closed last night at the Vaiaku Lagi Hotel.
Prime Minister on behalf of the government and the people of Tuvalu thanked all the donor partners who came from abroad to listen and learn from us problems and difficulties that we have.
He said that he hopes things will have moved forward from what was agreed to in the meeting in the coming months.
Kirk Yates, representing the donor partners congratulated everyone involved in the meeting saying that a lot of time was spent in preparation of presentations and of dialogue making it a very successful meeting.
He also acknowledged that there has been progress from both sides in the last year or two and added that they are looking forward to coming back in a year’s time for the third Round Table Meeting.
The party went on until 10 o’clock at night and was entertained by the dancing troupe from Nukulaelae, Tuvalu Touch Rugby squad and the Fagogo Malipolipo.
