World Water Day in Tuvalu
March 22 is "the World Water Day." This is the one that was recommended in the action plan (agenda 21) for the 21st century adopted by Earth Convention (The venue: Brazil) in 1992, and enacted in the United Nations General Assembly of the age. It is the day when it thinks about "Water" as the resource on the world scale.
The water section in the public works bureau is centered in Tuvalu, and various events concerning water like the examination of water quality of water tanks for household use and workshops about water for students etc.
On the 22nd of March 2011, the very day of World Water Day, the Expo was hold in the meeting space of capital Funafuti. At the Expo, the result of examination of water tank’s quality was reported and also some organization to do the approach related to water introduces their activities to the invited students from two elementary schools, secondary schools in Funafuti, and the South Pacific university Tuvalu branch schools.
