They had stayed for 1 week until 12th of May and treated the patients for free at the Princes Margaret Hospital in the capital Funafuti. Medical team also gave the technical assistance for the doctors and the advices about the hospital management systems to improve the medical treatment of Tuvalu.
In Tuvalu, some patients who get serious sickness have to go to Fiji to get advanced treatment. However, it occasionally happens that is too late for treatment. To improve the medical treatment skills means to rescue the life as much as possible.
